Stepping Stone Consulting, LLC ("Company" or "we" or "our") provides Consulting services, and we utilize our website to collect information about candidate employees who may be able to fulfill certain positions on client contracts. Therefore we learn a great deal about our prospective employees, including personal identifying information. We recognize that your privacy is important, so we have developed this Privacy Policy to guide us, and to inform you, about how we handle your sensitive personal information. 1. What personal identifying information we collect.
You may use all of the features of the website without submitting any personal information to us. But if you voluntarily want to provide your contact information, your resume to be considered for employment, or provide feedback/comments/questions, you must give us certain personal information, including, but not limited to the information ("Your Information") described below.
We collect your–Name, email, phone number, education, clearance and resume.
It is understood that your resume may contain additional information about you that we might not otherwise explicitly ask for, including your age, gender, and other demographic information.
2. Cookies; location tracking. Our website is not set up to track, collect or distribute personal information not entered or submitted by visitors. We do not place cookies on your computer or mobile device, and we do not use cookies in any way.
3. Children's Privacy. This site is not intended to be used by children under 18 years of age.
4. Storage of Your Information. We collect Your Information using standard electronic communications channels. The electronic channels we use to collect your information may include contact boxes on our website, email, and telephone channels. The information we collect is stored in Google Docs on Google's servers, and on Microsoft servers (in the SharePoint access area), and on computers owned by the Company. We retain Your Information indefinitely; however, upon your request (by email to our Privacy Manager), we will destroy our copies of Your Information by deleting it from Google Docs, from SharePoint, and from our computers.
5. Who within the Company may access Your Information. Only the President and the Departments of Business Development and Human Resource/Recruitment.
6. Who outside the company may access Your Information. We share Your Information outside the Company only with current and prospective customers of the Company, and we will do this only after we have received your permission to do so. We may obtain your permission by email or verbally. We do not intentionally share, sell, rent or otherwise distribute Your Information with outside parties, except to provide products or services you've requested through us, or in response to a validly-issued subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when necessary to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims made by you or on your behalf.
7. Safeguards we use. Internally to the Company we use standard email communications channels, and we may transmit Your Information among authorized recipients over these channels. Google docs is password protected with only authorized personnel having access to it. Our SharePoint website provides access only to authorized personnel and the specific file containing Your Information is accessible only to those employees and agents of the Company who have been granted authorization to access your file. All other personnel will not have access to nor even notice of the existence of the file that contains Your Information. We routinely train our employees on our privacy and non-disclosure policies, and we require employees to affirm acceptance of and adherence to the terms of the privacy policy.
8. How we use Your Information. We use the information you provide us only for the following specific purposes:
To contact you; to establish a relationship with you; to promote Your Information (in particular, your skills, experience, and clearances) to current prospective customers of the Company. We also use Your Information to respond to your feedback or comments or questions, and to adjust the kinds of services we may provide to our customers based on your skills.
9. Your rights to Your Information. You own Your Information; however, the Company owns the analytical data we produce from Your Information. You may have access to Your Information by notifying us in writing of your desire, but we may charge a small administrative fee to prepare copies of Your Information. You may ask us to delete Your Information from our records, and we will comply with your request within 5 business days of receiving that request. However, if prior to your request, you have given us consent to use Your Information in any ongoing proposals or other transactions, we may not be able to remove Your Information from those transactions. You may complain to us about our services or suspected releases of Your Information that are contrary to this Privacy Policy. 10. Our legal duties with respect to your information. We will inform you immediately if we become aware of any situation in which Your Information or has been disclosed in any way that contradicts this Privacy Policy.
11. Scope of our liability; Third Party Websites. Although this agreement applies to our duties to you, it does not apply to entities that are not owned or controlled by us. For example, we have no control over our internet service providers, telephone service providers, the third-party services we use (e.g. Google and Microsoft). So, while we do not intentionally share Your Information with these service providers, we cannot know if those providers are able to intercept or access Your Information. Furthermore, because transmissions protected by industry standard security technology and implemented by human beings cannot be made absolutely secure, we will not be liable for unauthorized disclosure of Your Information due to no fault of the Company including, but not limited to, errors in transmission and unauthorized acts of third parties or Company employees. In addition, our website may contain links to other third-party websites, so please be aware that we do not claim any responsibility for the privacy practices of these third-party sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our website and to take reasonable precautions when sharing Your Information on third party websites.
12. Opt-In Policy. By submitted Your Information to us, we may place you on our mailing list to receive newsletters, promotional offers and other useful information from us. To unsubscribe from our mailings (except important system and content update information detailed below), you may use the means built into any of those communications from us.
13. Changes to this Policy. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version of this Privacy Policy will always be noted on our website. Your continued use of the website and or Services available through our website after such modifications will constitute your: (a) acknowledgment of the modified Policy; and (b) your agreement to abide and be bound by that Policy.
