Veterans Day: Selfless Service

On November 11th, we recognize Veterans Day, to celebrate the anniversary of the end of World War I. The need for brave men and women to volunteer to serve in our military and put the country before themselves continues today. Selfless service can be seen as the act of putting the welfare of your nation, the military, and your subordinates, before your own. While not everyone serves in the military, we should take those words to heart and try our best to put the welfare of our country and community first in our actions. Locally, we can help and inspire others in our communities with acts of selfless service. Whether you are volunteering at a charity, giving blood, or cleaning up litter in your neighborhood, there are countless ways you can give back to others. For veterans, selfless service can also be calling a battle buddy and making sure they are okay. There’s always something we can do to help each other.

Happy Veterans Day. We will always remember. And to all Veterans and their families, Thank you for your selfless service.
